The South American area in development:
June 2006. Looking back at these, it’s hard to believe how empty it was when we started.
August 2007. You can see the entire area… you can’t even do that from the roof of the house now!
August 2007, from a different angle. You can see all the way to the wall behind the Australian area – today, you can’t even see through the South American one from that point.
May 2008, starting to grow in.
June 2014, giving some idea of just how much it’s changed.
Some photos from autumn 2015:
Fuchsia regia var. alpina, October 15
Oenothera stricta ‘Sulphurea’, September 15
Lobelia tupa, September 15
Fascicularia bicolor, November 15. Why it’s trying to bloom at this time of year, I have no idea!
Eucryphia ‘Rostrevor’, October 15.
